Cosmetic Essence Appoints Thomas Nelson to Chief Financial Officer Post
Holmdel, NJ; July 20, 2011 – Cosmetic Essence (CEI), a leading provider of contract manufacturing and supply chain management services to the beauty care, personal care and household products industries, announces the appointment of Thomas R. Nelson to the position of chief financial officer (CFO).
As CFO, Nelson will be responsible for all financial aspects of CEI. "Tom is a seasoned financial leader with strong strategic and operational expertise," said Peter G. Martin, CEO of Cosmetic Essence. "He will be a key player in the CEI management team driving our growth and profit objectives as well as being another example of the depth of talent we are building here at CEI."
Prior to joining CEI, Nelson served as CFO for Associated Packaging Technologies (APT), a manufacturer of plastic containers. Prior to APT, Nelson served as Director of Finance for Towers Perrin Administrative Services, a global provider of outsourced employee benefits services in the business services sector. He also previously served as Vice President, Finance, of Wheaton Pharmaceutical Packaging, and held a variety of managerial roles in Finance and Control for ARCO Chemical, a $4 billion global chemical manufacturer.
Nelson earned his B.S. degree in business and economics from Lehigh University and a graduate degree from the J.L Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
